Worship is a very important part of our lives together and helps many of our members feel centered and grounded. Our weekly Worship service is ever Sunday at 10:30 (come early for fellowship!) We gather to worship the risen Jesus Christ, through music, preaching and prayer.
We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month, and welcome to the table all who love Jesus Christ, whether or not a Presbyterian. We believe the Communion Table is not a “Presbyterian table,” but is “Christ’s table,” and that it is our Lord who invites individuals who trust in him as their Lord and Savior to this sacramental meal.
Our Order of Worship follows the Reformed tradition of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which basically means we respond to God’s initiative, and join in the work God is already doing in our midst. Visitors find us to be an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life, from a variety of denominational backgrounds, and will feel welcome to join in worship. Many visitors comment on the friendliness of this congregation.
We also have special services throughout the year. On Christmas Eve, we have a candlelight service. We also celebrate Maundy Thursday and Good Friday during Holy Week. We also participate in the community Holy Week Services each year. In the Fall, we usually join with at least one other church to have a Thanksgiving Service. From time to time, we also have other special services.
We follow school closure procedures for Yellvile School District for our weekly activities. Closures for Sunday service are determined on Saturday and will be posted on our Facebook page and KTLO.
